Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller has praised the impact of Louis van Gaal on his career. Van Gaal, who is currently without a club having been let go by Manchester United at the end of last season, gave Muller his big break in the Bayern first team during his time in charge at the Allianz Arena between 2009 and 2011. Muller since has gone on to establish himself as one of the world's best forwards, helping Bayern win the title under Van Gaal in 2010, before going on to win four straight Bundesliga titles between 2012 and 2016. He has also won a world cup with Germany.
