American pop singer Bobby Vee dies aged 72.

The US pop singer Bobby Vee, whose early 1960s hits included Take Good Care of My Baby and Rubber ball has died aged 73, according to The Irish Times.

The singer died on Monday of advanced Alzheimer's disease. He was diagnosed in 2011 and performed his last show that year.
Vee died peacefully surrounded by family, his son Jeff Velline said, calling it "the end of a long hard road".

The singer topped the Forbes magazine list by raking in an impressive $170 million £138m. Alongside her various brand endorsements for the likes of Keds, Diet Coke and Apple, Taylor also shifted over three million album-worths of music. Whilst the majority of Taylor's money came from touring, it was Adele's album sales that sealed her second place on the list. Her LP 25 was the best-selling album of 2015. Madonna placed third with $76.5 million, with most of the earnings coming from her Rebel Heart tour, which saw the singer travel through North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
