Wayne Rooney clocks 31 today. The Manchester United and England Captain started his career at Everton before moving to Manchester United for £25.6 million in 2004.

He is currently the club's second top goalscorer of all time with 246 goals, he also holds the record for most goals for one Premier League club with 179 for Manchester United. He has won the Premier League 5 times, the UEFA Champions League once, the FIFA Club World Cup once, the FA Community Shield four times, the League Cup twice and the FA cup once.

He is also England's all time record goal scorer with 53 goals in 118 matches.

Stephen Hawking, an award-winning physicist and influential author, died early Wednesday morning, a family spokesman told ABC News. He was 76. Hawking, whose books included "A Brief History of Time" and "The Universe in a Nutshell," was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 1962. The family did not disclose the cause of death, but said he “died peacefully” at his home in Cambridge, England. "We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today. He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years," the family said in a statement.
