Ferguson reveals greatest regret as Manchester United boss.

The legendary scot revealed his greatest regret as Manchester United manager is missing out on the UEFA Champions League final in 2001-02.

United were eliminated by German side Bayern Leverkusen in the semi-final stage denying Fergie the opportunity to lead his side out at Hampden in his home city of Glasgow.

"We were a bit unlucky, we ran out of time", he joked, with a reference to the famous 'Fergie time'. "The referee couldn't understand my time and his time!".

Ferguson during his time at Manchester United won the UEFA Champions League twice in 1999 and 2008.
